Hi, I'm Jacole Lane
Instructional design has appealed to me my entire life. I just didn't realize it had a formal name. I have been designing and developing training for diverse learners for over 16 years. Naturally inquisitive and eager to learn new things, I have consistently been an early adopter of new and innovative technologies and strategies as they have evolved over time. Professionally, when multiple colleagues have approached me seeking solutions with similar questions, I realized that designing job aids and microlearning solutions not only would help others get solutions fast, it would also save myself time in that process. Instructional design is a win-win solution!
I decided to become an instructional designer because I love watching people grow, change, and become better versions of themselves. These changes create a chain reaction of improvement for individuals and teams and ultimately help companies overall improve productivity and effectiveness. The beauty of this growth is the limitless potential that just needs to be tapped into!
When I'm creating learning solutions, I keep the learner and their overall experience in mind. I use my expertise in adult learning theories such as ADDIE and SAM to utilize a variety of techniques to foster learning, change behaviors, and drive meaningful results. I find joy in crafting solutions that are both visually and interactively engaging.
When I'm not busy crafting solutions for others, I can often be found outdoors, camping, biking, hiking, or kayaking. While at home, I love baking and practicing my amateur cookie and cake decorating skills while my family and friends enjoy the leftovers.
